The Roots

Uptown Floors began in the summer of 2002 under the name HardwoodInstaller.com. At that time the direction was educating consumers on all sorts of hardwood floor installation applications. It was also a time when I was actively installing hardwood floors independently for a living in and around southwest Florida since the early 90's.

Retail Store & Internet

In 2004 I began selling some of the more well known brands on the internet in a small retail store. Names in the likes of Bruce, Mirage and Anderson to mention a few. The retail store continued selling the same products until the summer of 2015 when they were completely replaced with the Uptown brand. A brand created entirely by me for those seeking high quality American made.

High Quality American Made

Between 2005 and 2015 the number of imported Chinese hardwood floors exploded. In earlier years many wanted inexpensive and could care less where it came from. But it was obvious a trend was beginning to emerge from others that wanted a high quality American made hardwood floor.
