The Blacks are just that; black hardwood floors. Not jet black as you can still get a good glimpse of the underlying grain pattern. Currently three hardwoods make up the Blacks. Maple, Hickory and White Oak.
Maple Java will offer a smooth finished surface and shows coffee or darker brown tones. Closer attention brings out other tones as well.
Hickory Charcoal, will show brown and black tones with a good variety of grey. Shown well here in low light.
White Oak Relics brings out black highlighted grain more so than the others.
Shown is a great visual on the wire brushing effects.
All three blacks are considered a clear grade, meaning you’ll get a streamlined or contemporary look without the character.
