Clear Hickory consists of less pronounced color variation as the character,
but it still offers the creamy sapwood and faint reddish or straw colored hardwood that’s common with Hickory.
It can be a bit of a challenge laying out as you don’t want clumps of light and dark colored areas. A few finished room scenes shows how one installer did a great job of sorting or what people in the industry call racking.
This 6 ¼” wide plank is one of six choices offered in so far as plank width. We can also do random width. Shown is a character Hickory 3, 4 and 5 ¼”
Time for the sponge test so you get a good idea what this Hickory would look like finished natural.
